Baccarat at Teddy's

Baccarat is one of the simplest casino games: you don't make any decisions about the cards, you just choose who you think will win — the Player hand, the Banker hand, or a tie.

Teddy's deals classic Punto Banco rules, with the third-card rules handled automatically.

Table rules

  • Player pays 1:1.
  • Banker pays 0.95:1 (5% commission).
  • Tie pays 8:1.
  • Hands are dealt by the standard Punto Banco drawing rules.

How to play Baccarat

Card values

Aces are 1, 2–9 are face value, tens and picture cards are 0. Only the last digit of the total counts (15 is 5).

Closest to 9 wins

Two cards each; a third card may be drawn by the fixed rules. A total of 8 or 9 on two cards is a "natural".

Which bet?

Banker wins slightly more often (that's why it pays a commission). Tie pays big but rarely lands.

Questions

Do I need to know the third-card rules?

No, the dealer applies them for you. You only choose Player, Banker or Tie.

Why does Banker pay less?

The Banker hand wins a little more often, so wins pay 95% instead of even money.

Is it real money?

No — free tokens only, for fun.
